Dehradun : The marquee Sports Tournament The Doon Cup is being hosted by Ecole Globale International Girls’ School from 18th April- 20th April. 17 teams from different parts of the country and the world are participating in the same.
The Sporting extravaganza had a ceremonial start on the 18th with the welcome of the teams, handing over of the Jerseys and a short cultural program. The players took the oath of sportsmanship and fairplay after which the Tournament was declared open by Principal Ms Naina Dhillon.
The spectators were electrified by the display of skill and competitive spirit shown by the teams.
The different matches on Day 1 in the Under-14 category were
Match 1: Credence High School Dubai Vs Wynberg Allen won by Wynberg Allen
Match 2: Hopetown vs Ecole ended in a draw
Match 3: Gems Modern Academy Dubai Vs Asian School was won by Asian
Match 4 : Shri Ram School Vs Pinegrove School was won by Pinegrove
The matches in the Under 19 category were
Match 1: Him Jyoti School Vs Vantage Hall ended in a draw
Match 2: Gems Vs Ecole Globale International Girls’ School won by Gems.
Match 3: Unison World School Vs Wynberg Allen ended in a draw
Match 4 : Hopetown School Vs DPS Greater Noida was won by Hopetown.
The Doon Cup Football Tournament continues tomorrow with more matches and exhilarating moments.
